I just drove out to Occidental to taste Kurt Beitler's 2018 Bohème Pinot Noirs. More on his Pinots later. The unexpected star of the tasting, according to my senses, was the Bohème Chardonnay "English Hill" 2017. Of 105 cases made Kurt has a dozen or so cases left. If you're a fan of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, get ye some.

Kurt specializes in single vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. He is a winegrower, meaning he farms the grapes from which he makes his wines. If you're into "from dirt to bottle winemaking," this here is the Real McCoy.

The Bohème Chardonnay "English Hill" 2017 is drinking fantastic right now. I gotta believe it's cruising along on it's 2-3 year plateau of undeniable deliciousness. Culling from my tasting notes here: Granny Smiths with a clover honey drizzle, roast hazelnuts, spiced apple butter, freshly cut pears and a sqeeze of lime. Vibrant and intense...wonderfully rich and still full of vigor due to its core of cool-climate acidity ringing through. Yep, I’m a big fan of this wine. I would easily recommend it if it were $70, so at $49 it’s a crazy-good value.

In lieu of a discount, Kurt Beitler will pick up the shipping cost on your purchase of 6+ bottles of Bohème is picking up the shipping. Use discount code DAWSON at check-out.

Mix it up and try the Bohème Pinot Noirs, too.
For drinking now, I recommend
Bohème "English Hill" 2016 and "Occidental Hills" 2018. For cellaring, I recommend the "Taylor Ridge" 2018

I don't take payment nor commission from the wineries I promote. Except wine, that is, which is perfect because I only recommend wines I like to drink!
