Fortunati Vineyards is one of Napa's under-the-radar jewels for making great wine at fair prices AND have a beautiful setting to welcome guests. Their vineyard and tasting room in the Oak Knoll District launched in 2019 and, pandemic speed-bump aside, business has been gangbusters. Out-of-towners, I'll let you in on a not-so-secret secret: next time you visit Napa put Fortunati on your itinerary. I'm happy to make the introduction.

Here's a list of all my Fortunati reviews.

Man I like this Fortunati Pinot Noir. It's a Pinot Noir for Pinot Noir drinkers. Smells the way a cool climate Pinot Noir should: wild cherries, blood orange, black tea leaves, red roses and fresh forest air. Tastes are, well, very Pinot Noir. Red fruits, deep citrus, cocoa, aforementioned savory sensations, all gently framed by warm, soothing oak. The bright acidity, structure and intensity tells me the 2018 Fortunati Pinot Noir will keep getting better and arrive at its 10 year plateau in 2023. 350 cases made.
More tasting notes here.

Fortunati extends a 15% discount to wine club members. It's a great deal, very flexible, and worth consideration. Read about it here. Or better yet, send me an email and I'll tell you what I know about "how it works" and the Fortunati wines I think best fit your personal tastes.

I don't take payment nor commission from the wineries I promote. Except wine, that is, which is perfect because I only recommend wines I like to drink!
Learning-pod room by day, production studio by night!
Tasting Fortunati Pinot Noir. My daughter's behind the camera. She's helping me keep the video short. 1 minute 50 second watch.
Road Trip!
My March Road Trip to Page Cellars and Olivia Brion is booked up.
I'm taking reservations and a little $ for the April wine get-away.

Dancing Crow Vineyards
Saturday, April 17, 12 Noon.

Lunch included!  Dancing Crow Website
We'll meet at Dancing Crow Vineyard at the base of Mt Konocti in Lake County where owner Tony Cartlidge will regale us with wit, wisdom, wine and wittles (ok, vittles). I like the Dancing Crow wines very much for their deliciousness, varietal character and value. Here are past reviews.

This will be a treat and well worth giving your Saturday for it. I ask for $12/person to help cover lunch costs. I'll give you ways to pay when you RSVP, which you can do by email reply. Please join me and the rest of the merry band!
