Championship Season is Here!

What's Inside? Football Highlights/Power Rankings, Softball State Results, Cross Country Region Finishes, Players of the Week, College Spotlight, Player/Coach Interviews & More!

Rabun County clinched its fourth straight region title, and looks for its second straight undefeated regular season. However, this time is different, as a win in Week 11 over Monticello would give the Cats their first-ever 10-0 regular season. Last season's opener against Mt. Pisgah was called late in the 2nd quarter with Rabun in front, but the game didn't count toward the teams' records.

Habersham Central, Tallulah Falls and Dawson County all punched a ticket to state, as did Rabun County. The Lady Cats advanced to the Sweet 16, while the rest fell in the opening round. TOURNEY INFO

Region meets produced numerous team and individual titles. Banks County boys and girls swept the 8-AA meet, while Dawson boys and Towns girls also hoisted the region championship trophy. Dawson's Frankie Muldoon, Bank's Allison Smith and Rabun's Guy Gober were all individual champs. Nearly all of our programs will be represented in the November 4 GHSA State Championship meet.
