This week has been all about cleaning and purging here at the Park house. Like many others, we have decided to strip down our belongings to really what we use and need and to donate or sell the rest!
Eddie actually began this process by stacking some unused clothes (see above) and as momentum grew, we started to go into DEEP cleaning mode! Aka dump all clothes out of drawers, organize, file fold, and put in respective containers in drawers -- aka all the tips Marie Kondo recommends.
Have any of you been also bit by the Marie Kondo bug? Well Eddie shared a beautiful post on Facebook this week, and I wanted to highlight it here:
"My word for 2019 is SIMPLIFY! I’ve been reading the parable of the sower and felt convicted that in order to be good soil, we need to remove the excess in our lives, excess creates chaos and disorder and I feel God is wanting me to simplify my life in order that he can really bear fruit in my life. I’m trying to purge 100 items this year, I did 30 articles of clothes last month and trying hit 25 today! If you guys feel inspired, let’s post the stuff we are purging! C’mon!"
So let me leave you this Friday morning with 2 thoughts:
1. Won't you join us as we simplify our lives and purge items from your home? Tag us on IG (@hugchurch) or post it on our Facebook group, we'd love to see!
2. We are continuing in our series of Vision and have the latest sermon for you up on our podcast.
