Who thought we would be digging out from 24 inches of snow just after Thanksgiving? Great weather to stay close to the woodstove, coffee close at hand, and review the last season's farm notes. Or to be out on the tractor to keep our 3/4 mile driveway open. All farm work - but oh so different!
But despite the early onset of the real wintry weather, the early CSA sign-ups for 2020 are comparable to previous years - which is a big relief for your farmers. Because while farming is an honest and fulfilling occupation, we would not be able to farm without having the opportunity to sell the fruits of our labor!
That said, we are enjoying the seasonal slow-down. It's nice to have the opportunity to spend some more time with family and friends on those short days surrounding the winter solstice. To bring in a nice looking spruce, pine or fir tree. And to enjoy the holidays.
We're wishing you and your family good holidays, and all the best for the new year!

Fox Creek Farm CSA, 2019 in pictures, cannot go without this outstanding picture of our fall beets. Hardly any weeds, and an almost perfect stand. That's something to be proud of, even after 16 years of CSA farming!
The U-pick at the farm was well visited. Did you had a chance to make your bouquet?
For the last 4 seasons, Richard has been one of our key farm workers - together with Barryton, Susannah, and Karin he makes sure that only our best produce goes out to our CSA membership!
Getting a feeling for farm work: our garlic harvest work party was another success!
Bunching early season radishes.
There's something to say for hand-picked, right-of-the-farm sweet corn. We did pretty good this season!
Early sunrise and late season fog at Fox Creek Farm - this picture reminds us how fortunate we are that we are working and living on this beautiful place - and that we can share the beauty of our farm with all of you!
We are looking to make some changes to our Fox Creek Farm logo. Johanna and Raymond are looking for someone who could take their concept and put it in such a format that we can use the logo for printing shirts etc.
If you have some graphic design experience and can give us some help, please let us know!
