2. Help Name the New IT System!
Information Technology Services will be rolling out a new, single-point-of-contact IT system this summer to bring all IT troubleshooting, services, project and implementation work, and documentation in to one space. We now need your help to select the name for the new system!
ITS has chosen several potential names, but we need you to pick your favorite. Look for a name that resonates with you, reaches out and grabs you, and says, “this is the only place I need to go to find everything IT-related!”

3. UTHSC Advisory Board to Meet May 12
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s Advisory Board will meet virtually at 1:00 pm CDT on Wednesday, May 12.
Board members will be participating electronically or by telephone. Interested individuals are encouraged to watch the meeting online. Information to access the meeting will be available at https://www.uthsc.edu/advisory-board/index.php.
Items on the Advisory Board agenda include:
- Chancellor’s Report on the Spring Semester and Return to Campus
- Review of Accelerated Programs in the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy
- Proposed Pharmacy IMPACT Pathway program fee
- Proposed FY 2022 Budget Review and Approval

4. Faculty and Staff: Join the Sick Leave Bank By June 30
The Sick Leave Bank is an opportunity for eligible employees to protect their income. The Sick Leave Bank may provide paid leave to bank members who have exhausted all of their own paid leave due to a personal illness or injury.
Open enrollment for the Sick Leave Bank this year is April 1 through June 30. Enrollment forms must be submitted to the Employee Relations office within Human Resources at 910 Madison, Suite 764 by June 30.

5. COVID-19 Vaccinations
The UTHSC administration, along with University Health Services, encourages all students, faculty, and staff to receive their COVID-19 vaccine(s) as soon as possible. With eligibility now open to everyone 16 and older, and a solid supply of the vaccine available from several providers in the state, you have options to get vaccinated soon.
Memphis
- Visit covid19.memphistn.gov for a list of public vaccination locations, information about the vaccines, first and second doses, and whether appointments are necessary.
- Individuals without internet access can call 901.222.7468 (SHOT) or 615.552.1998 from 9:00 am – 6:30 pm, seven days a week.
Chattanooga
- Visit the Hamilton County Health Department website for FAQs and appointment information, a vaccine data dashboard, and to schedule first or second appointments.

University Health Services has a well-educated staff of primary care providers who are available to answer any questions you might have about the vaccine. Please call University Health Services at 901.448.5630 to speak with one of our primary care providers from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 2:00 – 5:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
