1. Chancellor Finalist Presentation – Dr. Peter Buckley

The search committee for the next Chancellor of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center has narrowed the list to two outstanding finalists. Those finalists will be on the Memphis campus to present how they plan to fulfill UTHSC's mission to improve the health and well-being of Tennesseans and the global community. These presentations are open to the public.

3. Inaugural Multicultural and Global Health Symposium – Saturday, November 6

All faculty, staff, and students are invited to the 2021 Multicultural and Global Health Symposium, which is the inaugural event bringing the UTHSC community, state leaders, and international health experts together to learn more about emerging topics in multicultural and global health. This is an opportunity to explore the breadth and depth of current research at UTHSC and around the world, network with colleagues, and celebrate the achievements of our leaders, faculty, and students.

The theme for this year’s symposium is “Re-imaging Multicultural and Global Health in the Age of COVID”. The keynote speaker will be Carlos Rodriguez-Galindo, MD, who is the Executive Vice President of St. Jude Children's Hospital and Chair of the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine. This event is approved for 6.25 AMA PRA CME credits.

4. Conversations on Health Disparities: Insurance

Join Student Affairs and Community Engagement for a Social Determinants of Health Conversation on Health Disparities on Tuesday, November 9, at 11:00 am. This conversation, with Amy Qazi of the Tennessee Justice Center, will feature an overview of different types of insurance and how they can affect both providers’ ability to give quality care and the health outcomes of patients.

5. 2021 Employee Service Recognition Program
