1. Flu Vaccinations Available at UHS
UTHSC employees and students can schedule an appointment with University Health Services for FREE flu vaccines Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (closed 1:00 – 2:00 pm daily for lunch) at 910 Madison Avenue, 9th Floor, on the Memphis campus.
Flu vaccines are mandatory this year for all UT employees and students, unless you have documentation to support an exemption.
To schedule an appointment, please call University Health Services at 901.448.5630. No walk-ins will be accepted.
Verification of vaccine administration will be provided during the visit.

2. Rachel Kay Stevens Therapy Center Art Show and Auction
Join the Rachel Kay Stevens Therapy Center (RKSTC) for its 4th Annual Art Show and Auction, October 23 – 25. The event will be virtual this year and can be accessed through the RKSTC Art Show and Auction website. Participants must create an account in order to place a bid and may bid on several items, multiple times, while the event is open!
RKSTC is a pro-bono, student-run, pediatric occupational therapy clinic serving uninsured or underinsured children in the Mid South. For the art show, children with disabilities across the Mid-South and local artists donate original artwork that is auctioned off in a silent online auction.

3. Cybersecurity Digital Scavenger Hunt
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month! To celebrate, the Office of Cybersecurity invites the UTHSC community to a Cybersecurity Digital Scavenger Hunt. All participants who complete this hunt by Friday, October 30 will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten Starbucks $5 gift cards. Have a cup of coffee on us! Winners will be announced the first week of November. The hunt begins here!

4. Call for Submissions: UTRF Technology Maturation Grant
The University of Tennessee Research Foundation (UTRF) is announcing a call for submissions for its 13th annual maturation program. The UTRF Technology Maturation Grant aims to assist innovators in advancing new technologies on the path to market by awarding up to $15,000 in direct costs to the highest ranking proposals. The program is open to researchers, faculty, staff, and students across all University of Tennessee campuses and institutes. All proposals are due to your designated campus research office by 5:00 pm on October 23, 2020.

5. Wear Purple TOMORROW and Pink Next Thursday!
In observance of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, please join the Office of Equity and Diversity (OED) and wear purple TOMORROW, Thursday, October 22. Have a socially-distanced purple photo taken in the Madison Plaza Lobby from 12:00 – 1:00 pm and be entered into a drawing for a Starbucks gift card!

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please join the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, Communications and Marketing, and the Office of Equity and Diversity by wearing pink next Thursday, October 29. A socially-distanced pink group photo will be taken in the front yard of the Student-Alumni Center at 12:10 pm that day. The first 100 people wearing pink to the photo will receive a pink mask!
