1. Chancellor Search: Open Sessions
The search process to find a successor for Chancellor Schwab is underway and we have retained the national executive search firm WittKieffer to assist with the search. John Thornburgh, Jeff Schroetlin, and Dr. Tony Barbato, along with members of the search committee, will conduct a series of meetings with stakeholders including administrators, faculty, students, trainees, and clinical and community partners. Their goal is to become better informed about the culture, strengths and opportunities for UTHSC, and to assist in further establishing the candidate criteria for this important role.
Comments and themes will be collected and shared with President Boyd and the search committee, chaired by UT Trustee Bill Rhodes. Based on all input, we will prepare a Leadership Profile document that will represent this opportunity to the marketplace.
This is an exciting time for UTHSC, and your participation in this process will be integral to our success in identifying this new leader to build upon Dr. Schwab's success. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important process.
You are welcome to attend the Open Sessions in person or via Zoom. Faculty and Staff, please see the email you were sent this morning for your Zoom link, meeting ID, and passcode. Students, you will be sent a reminder email tomorrow morning, but you can also reference the email you were sent on July 13.

3. Nominations Open for Lichterman Award
Each year, non-exempt employees with at least 3 years of service can be nominated for the Lichterman award by a supervisor, co-worker, or other UTHSC/UCH employee. Nominees should possess qualities such as dedication, hard work, and a positive attitude. If you know of any UTHSC or UCH employees that meet these standards of service, please nominate them!
The easiest way to nominate an employee is to use the People Search on the UTHSC website. If an employee is eligible for the award, you will see a nomination button at the top of their People Search Details page.

4. UTHSC TechConnect Goes Live on Monday, July 26
On Monday, July 26, UTHSC TechConnect, the new IT service site, will be available to you to report issues, request services, find technical information, and so much more. Once live, UTHSC TechConnect will replace the ability to send an email to helpdesk@uthsc.edu so that ITS can provide you with easier and quicker service.
Tomorrow, Friday, July 23, we will start our transition from Footprints by transferring all open tickets to UTHSC TechConnect. As this occurs, you may start getting ticket updates from the new system via the email address techconnect@uthsc.edu. You also will notice that the updates originate from uthsc.teamdynamix.com. This is correct, as Team Dynamix is the tool that powers UTHSC TechConnect.
We hope you are as excited as we are! Visit our TechConnect introduction page to meet our friend Veronica, get a sneak peek, and learn more.
