What's Happening at the Magnet?

Our Lake Balboa Park Orientation Party was a huge success!!  Approximately 90 students and their families enjoyed a picnic lunch, laser tag & Nerf games, and getting to know their HGM community. Thank you to all who joined in the fun. 
More social events to come! 
Watch for exciting events, possibly including
a beach day and trunk-or-treat!!
 Our first parent MPA meeting will be
Thursday 8/26, at 7pm.
This meeting will be a huge source of information for this coming year, a chance to meet the MPA Board and learn about volunteer opportunities so please save the date!  This will be an online only meeting ~ zoom information to follow.

Thursday, September 2nd.

Our Fall Annual Giving Challenge
will kick off August 30th and go to October 1st.

This is our most important fundraising drive of the year. Please support the HGM by contributing to our organization so we can fund books, supplies, field trips, and all of the things that make the HGM special.
Suggested donation: $650 per student.
(That said, each family has different circumstances. We appreciate whatever is meaningful for you
and your family.)
