To wrap up Housing Hub News for 2022, we’d like to thank you for your support and celebrate some of our achievements from this year.

We will continue to work hard to create valuable resources, share personal stories, and offer services that help support you on your housing journey.

Together we have:

• Received over 1,200 calls to our NDIS Housing Advice Line to help people search for accessible housing and navigate the NDIS

• Supported 132 people to apply for SDA funding and receive an offer for a new SDA home

• Seen over 9,900 properties listed to date, with over 2,400 properties currently listed on the Housing Hub website across all states and territories – offering more options to find the home that is right for you

• Had more than 171,000 people visit the Housing Hub website

• Seen over 145,000 searches for a new home

Are you living in Residential Aged Care?

We're excited to announce that we're collaborating with the Summer Foundation to provide a free service for people under the age of 65 living in Residential Aged Care (RAC).

Our RAC Service Coordinator can support you to become better informed about your NDIS funding and support that may:

• Increase your ability to participate in the community
• Ensure you have equipment and therapy to support your quality of life
• Support the exploration of moving out of RAC and into the community

The fourth edition of the Housing Seeker Snapshot has been released.

The report provides detailed and up-to-date information about the characteristics, needs, and preferences of seekers who are looking for accessible housing options on the Housing Hub.

A few interesting findings include:

• 67% of housing seekers are unsatisfied with their current living arrangements
• 36% of housing seekers indicated that they need support 24 hours a day
• More than two-fifths of all seekers wished to live alone.
• Over half of the seekers (57%) would like to move immediately, suggesting a high demand for properties that are immediately available to move into
