Regional Innovation Benchmark (RIB) 2019
SCRIPT's major project funding is for the Regional Innovation Benchmark research. The 2019 RIB provided a candid glimpse into the ways in which innovation is approached and executed within the Sunshine Coast’s Regional innovation ecosystem. The benchmark also provided a knowledge-sharing opportunity about how to develop innovations within new and existing businesses to boost business performance. The 2019 RIB measured the approaches local businesses took to innovate and the value this generated.

The official launch event for the RIB was held at the Innovation Centre 29 August 2019, 80 people attended. It was broadcast live on Facebook including interviews with Paul Russell (Executive Director, Department of Innovation, Tourism Industry Development/Advance QLD) & Dr Retha de Villiers Scheepers (Lead researcher USC).
