COVID 😷 19
CodeFund Weekly, Issue #57

Hi all,

This is Eric, Founder of CodeFund.

COVID-19 is something that has affected all of our day to day lives. My heart goes out to all of those who are facing uncertainty, including layoffs. We are confident that we, as local and national communities, will beat this pandemic and come out stronger on the other end.

Our mission is to help grow and sustain the open-source ecosystem. We make this happen by showing developer-focused, ethical ads on websites run by developers. Approximately 71% of all ad revenue is paid out to these incredible people all around the world each month. For example, last month, we paid out over $38k to our publisher network.

I believe that with remote workers comes more visits to sites. You may have noticed we haven’t been super great on keeping the displayed ads “paid ads.” We have been focusing on resolving this since late last year. As of this month, we have been pre-selling ad placements by region and audience. We are actively reaching out to new and existing advertisers. We just hired Hunt Frye as the new Head of Sales. Things are happening!

I have spoken with many of you directly. We are all in this together. To our publishers, rest assured that we are building up a solid revenue stream for you and the rest of our network day by day. To our advertisers, we are taking measures to increase our quality and provide pricing that fits your budgets.

Finally, I would like to kindly ask if you do know of any other companies that may be interested in advertising with CodeFund, let us know. This is the most effective way for us to bring in new revenue that benefits us all.

May you and your family be safe and well. Thank you again for being a part of our network!

Your friend,

Eric
