Recovery Center Staff Highlight
Megan Goulet

Megan is the Pathway Guide at NCVRC working with people on Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and now the Women's Program Manager.

She started at the Center as a volunteer in early 2012 and was hired for the Pathway Guide position at the end of 2012.

Why is working within the recovery field important to you?

"The reason the recovery field is important to me is because I believe people can and do change if they are given the chance and have support. There is still a lot of stigma surrounding addiction and I feel that people really connect with peer support because they don't feel like they are being judged. Being able to talk with someone who has the "been there, done that" badge is really important because it shows people that they are not alone and gives them hope".

What do you like to do in your spare time?

"When I have free time I like to...spend time with kids, family, friends, read, chill".
