Sima Charters Monthly Operational Letter / March 2019

... it doesn't happen too often that we have three sisters shining in Maassluis Harbour, but we recently had a lovely sunny day and there they were: SC Agate, SC Amber and SC Emerald. The view of them makes us proud and motivates us to keep going and achieve our goals!

Sometimes goals are big achievements but sometimes it can just be small things that make the difference:
  • After a pleasant meeting with the committee we are happy to announce that we will participate with the 'Wereldhavendagen' in September again.
  • We have moved our THVZ project crew from the apartment in Goes to a terraced house in Wemeldinge.
  • We have shuffled the layout in the office, Crewing has it's own office and other departments are positioned more efficient now
Apart from this we have had some nice short jobs, besides the long term contracts: the SC Agate worked for HMS from Vlissingen and the Blue Whale worked for Wintershall from Den Helder.

QHSE / New documents in Marad

Dear all,

In this message from office we want to make you aware of the fact that we uploaded the new and up-to-date documents/fleetmanual in Marad. See picture below where to find them:

Here you can find all the drills, introductions, rest hours, massages from office etc. At a later stage you will also find information of the running projects. After completing a form, please sent it (signed with your name) to the right department with in CC. We will upload it for you in Marad.

Please only use these documents and delete the old ones with the old logo or address. Mostly the old documents are placed on the desktop or project folders.

If you have time, please explore and if you have any feedback, let us know.

Thank you!

Priscilla van Heijningen
QHSE Coordinator

HEADQUARTERS / Bean-machine, warm heads and nice views

It's been a busy period in our headquarters in Maassluis. Recently we've made some improvements to enhance the working atmosphere.

The bean-machine, something we've all been craving for and now it's there! Our coffee will now be as good as the coffee on board of the vessels: feel free to come over for a taster!

It's February and technically still winter. Even when it's the hottest Feb on record in The Netherlands, we still feel that good preparation is key. The official Sima Charters beanies have arrived:

What a view! Yes check out our great wall art! From 'boring' white to the core of our company: the yellow fleet.

The SC Emerald has made her first operational trip to the customary anchorage at Rotterdam. Though we are already convinced by her qualities it was good to see her making some extra effort to impress us, and the clients... she reached a top-speed of 29.3 knt! #proud

Yes we have a bigger reputation on the water than on land. Doesn't mean we don't have style when it comes to transport on the road. Recently we had our 4th company vehicle delivered, branded in style of course!
