Hi everyone,

Hope you’re doing well this week.

We had a great time on Wednesday evening at the Beckenham Re-Launch Meeting and we are so looking forward to resuming Sunday meetings from 26th September at Harris Academy. I cannot wait for us to be in the same room together worshipping God, hearing His Word and building community.
Here are some dates for your diary:

  • Wednesday 22nd September – One Church Prayer Meeting from 8-9pm
Join us as we gather with people across all four sites for an evening of worship and prayer. Join us via the website on the evening.

  • Sunday 26th September – Beckenham ‘Dry-Run’ Sunday
Our first Sunday back at Harris Academy (Manor Way, BR3 3SJ). The service will start at 10.30am and you do not need to book in. There will be kids work for 0-9s who will go into their rooms after sung worship (15-20 mins into the service).

  • Wednesday 29th September – Time to Rebuild
A vision evening led by Steve Tibbert, the Senior Pastor at King’s. This event is at the Catford site from 8-9.30pm.

  • Sunday 3rd October – Beckenham Official Re-Launch Sunday
Sunday 3rd October marks the 3-year anniversary of the Beckenham site and therefore we are delighted to be officially re-launching on this date.

The service will be at 10.30am and we will have kids’ work (0-9s) and youth work (school years 5-9) who will go to their rooms after sung worship (15-20 mins into the service).

As we are re-launching and re-building, please bear with us as we may experience one or two teething problems in the first few weeks! Let's be welcoming to everyone and be kind and grateful to those serving.

Love Serving

As we return, we’re keen for as many people to serve as possible. Serving is a great way to make friends and connect, as well as contributing to the running of the church. Let’s all get involved as we rebuild the site together.

If you’re not already committed to serving, and are interested in serving in some capacity, please email Lynsey and let us know.

Groups Restart

It’s great that the new groups term begins soon, on the week commencing Sunday 3rd October. The details are all up on the website and we’d love you to be part of a group this term. You can find out more and sign up here.
Are you going to university for the first time this Autumn? Are you an existing student?

If you are then we would love to invite you to come and hang out via Zoom as we chat about how to get the most out of university experience while still living for Jesus. We really think this meeting will help and encourage you so try your best to get involved.

This event is on Saturday 18th September from 2-4pm.

And finally...

I’m preaching this Sunday live at the Catford site and we also have five people being baptised across the two meetings!

This is also our last Sunday at Catford before re-launching Beckenham, so it would be great to see you at Catford if you can make it this Sunday.

Have a great weekend.

Onwards and upwards,

Charles
Beckenham Site Leader
