Hi everyone,
Hope you’re doing well this week.
We had a great time last weekend at the Lee site, with in-person gatherings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I so enjoy being back together with the church family at moments like these. Find out more by watching my update video below.
Lee site update – 17 September
In summary here are the updates I mention in the video:
  1. One service – We will be returning to one 10.30am service at the Lee Site this Sunday and we will celebrate being back together in one meeting by having four people baptised! You do not need to book in, but you can simply turn up.
  2. The return of full children’s and youth work – From Sunday 3rd October, we are planning towards having full children’s and youth work every Sunday, so that parents can simply be in the main service. As we begin, with limited teams, please do bear with us, as we may experience one or two teething problems.
  3. Groups restart – It’s great that the new groups term begins soon, on the week commencing Sunday 3rd October. The details are all up on the website and there’s a really good variety of groups this term. You can find out more and sign up here.
I hope that some of what I shared was like music to your ears. It would be great to see many of you at the Lee site from this Sunday onwards as we continue the process of regathering and rebuilding.

New Trainee Pastor

The main piece of news that I wanted to share with you today (which doesn’t feature in the video) is that Dimeji Teibo is joining the Lee Site team as a Trainee Pastor.

Dimeji, Sarah, Michelle and Nicolle have been at the Lee site for around five years, and Dimeji has served as a pastor at another church, so brings quite a bit of experience to the role.
We enjoyed his first day on Tuesday with a team lunch, which was great fun, and we look forward to having him on the team. His primary role, to begin with, will be to oversee the children’s work on the site.

Please do wish him and the family well when you see them.
Are you going to university for the first time this Autumn? Are you an existing student?

If you are then we would love to invite you to come and hang out via Zoom as we chat about how to get the most out of university experience while still living for Jesus. We really think this meeting will help and encourage you so try your best to get involved.

This event is on Saturday 18th September from 2-4pm.

And finally...

Lastly, as we return, we’re keen for as many people to serve as possible. Let’s all get involved as we rebuild the site together. If you’re not already serving, and are interested in serving in some capacity, please email us and let us know.
Well, that’s all from me. Have a great weekend.
