The first Pursue income generating project is a chicken rearing programme for the first group of widows we have been working with. These chickens have now reached maturity and were sold to cater for a local wedding. The income from the sale is being ploughed back into this same group as they continue to grow their chicken rearing and discuss other income opportunities.
Can you help?
Would you consider partnering with our work by donating monthly to Pursue? Regular donations help us to plan ahead with regards to our projects, which we are hoping to expand and grow. A monthly donation would allow us to pay for, amongst other things: transport to remote areas when our staff carry out home visits; providing much needed food and drink at our community meetings; administration costs such as printing and internet usage; hospital care packages for young mothers; and community training programmes. Because we are a small charity, even a small regular donation could make a huge difference in the communities that we work in. If you'd like to set up a regular donation to Pursue, the details are below, and there is also the option to complete a gift aid declaration:
This is a precious member of the community we work in. He is suffering severe malnutrition, so our team recently helped to get him to hospital for some treatment. We are going to be working alongside the family to support them in how to take better care of him and to help him recover and thrive.
Denise Williams, one of our supporters, is taking part in the Wiltshire Landscape Walking Challenge, consisting of 12 walks across Wiltshire, to raise money for Pursue. If you'd like to sponsor her in this excellent endeavour, please click here
