FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Year 5 and 6 ANZAC Commemoration Excursion
On Wednesday Yarra Year 5 and 6 students joined thousands of other students from schools across Melbourne at the Shrine of Remembrance at the 88th ANZAC Commemoration for students. The Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria addressed the students and the ceremony included Defence Force Cadets, school band & choir and a RAAF fly-over. Ashby, Zane and Milo proudly represented Yarra Primary and laid a floral tribute at the Eternal Flame. We will host a whole school ANZAC commemoration assembly on Wednesday 24 April at 3pm (outdoors-weather permitting). Thank you to Hyph, Allen D. and Joanne L. for volunteering their day and supporting the 76 students make their way to and from on public transport!
Another Reminder: Annual Report to School Community
A reminder: Invitation to the Annual Report Presentation.  The Annual Report provides an opportunity for the school community to celebrate 2018’s achievements, reflect on the school’s performance, and understand where and how improvement efforts have enhanced student achievement, engagement and wellbeing. Completion of an Annual Report by 30 April is a legislated requirement under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. Details are below:
Date: Monday 29 April
Time: 5.30pm (presentation will run for 30 to 45 minutes)
Location: Yarra Primary School Library
