Arrests made in Ahmaud Arbery murder

  • Two men, Gregory and Travis McMichael, have been arrested for their involvement in the killing of Ahmaud Arbery and face murder and aggravated assault charges
  • The arrests come just two days after a 36-second video showing the deadly interaction surfaced online and was popularized on Twitter
  • Many maintain that the murder was a hate crime, with the killing occurring on the pretense of racism and prejudice

Elon Musk threatens to pull Tesla out of California

  • Tesla CEO Elon Musk vowed to move the carmaker’s headquarters out of California after he was ordered to keep the factory closed down
  • On Saturday Musk tweeted out "Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately," going on to say that the future of Tesla in California will depend on the company’s treatment
  • Musk has voiced his discontent with the coronavirus lockdowns, tweeting “FREE AMERICA NOW” last month

Dr. Fauci to enter quarantine

  • Dr. Anthony Fauci, member of the White House coronavirus task force, will enter a modified quarantine, after an incident of “low-risk” contact with a staffer who tested positive
  • Katie Miller, Press Secretary to Mike Pence and attendee of many White House task force meetings, tested positive for coronavirus on Friday

TECH 📱

Sony’s Playstation Store suspended in China

  • As of Sunday, there is no official reason given for the online store’s shutdown, though it is speculated that security upgrades are being implemented
  • The store went offline at 7:00 AM local time with little to no warning, and no indication of when the service will return
