  • So far, Biden has promised to provide 100 million vaccines in his first 100 days in office, open as many schools as possible, and sign an executive order requiring masks be worn on federal property


Boeing 737 MAX re-takes flight

  • After launching a Tuesday flight from Miami to New York on a Boeing 737 MAX, American Airlines became the first American commercial airline to re-schedule flights on the defamed model 
  • Between February and March, the 737 MAX is expected to fly 91 flights each day for American Airlines, as well flying for United and Southwest Airlines


Apple Watch leak reveals security measures

  • A leaked image that appeared on Twitter of a developing Apple Watch (assumed to be a prototype of a new model) offers a glimpse into the security measures taken by Apple as they send products to developers
  • Locked in a security case that appears to be a small iPod, the watch is not only disguised but arrives in a box that declares the product a confidential item and is “designated an ‘Ultra’ security program”

Stay-at-home order to continue in California

  • On Tuesday morning, stay-at-home orders were called for two large areas of California that are facing an overwhelming amount of COVID patients in hospitals seeking emergency care 
  • Southern California and San Joaquin Valley are under restriction because of their above-threshold ICU occupancy, which is has fallen to 0% availability 


Stimulus payments deposit as early as Wednesday 

  • U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin tweeted Tuesday that the $600 stimulus could arrive by direct deposit or be sent as a check as early as Wednesday morning
  • Despite feedback from President Trump to increase the amount to $2,000, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Sen. Lindsey Graham were able to get the president to cut his losses and acquiesce to the proposed bill
