House and Senate approve budget resolution for Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus plan

  • The budget plans to provide money for vaccine distribution, hospitals, schools, a $1,400 stimulus check, and further pandemic unemployment aid
  • Next, the House and Senate committees will begin drafting legislation using the proposed framework. This process can take weeks and will need unanimous agreements among Senate Democrats


SpaceX announces plans to send first civilian crew to space

  • This new legislation is one step in Biden’s road to undo much of Trump’s immigration policy
  • Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the U.S. withdrawal was meant to “establish a cooperative, mutually respectful approach to managing migration across the region”


Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the reigning champs, Kansas City Chiefs in SuperBowl

  • The two teams played Sunday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Bucs made history, hammering the Chiefs 31-9 in their second Superbowl victory and being the first team to win while at their home stadium
