Hello,

This New Year we wanted to look ahead and tell you all about our plans for the future of intoBodmin. We intended to fill this newsletter with updates about all the events and projects that we were going to be running in 2021 - but, like everybody else, we just don't know what is around the corner.

What we do know is that in the last lockdown our Pay What You Feel Crib Time Takeaway service was a lifeline to our community, so Lisa and her team will be continuing to offer this service throughout this lockdown. There are more details below and on our website, but if you know of anyone who could benefit from a free or Pay What You Feel hot meal, then please pass on the information to them and don't forget to help us spread the word on social media.

We know there are lots of other individuals and organisations working to do great things in Bodmin during the lockdown too, and this boundless sense of community spirit is one of the things we love most about Bodmin. If you know of any good things happening locally that you think we could include in these newsletters please send us the details so we can help spread the word.

We're still working out what this year is going to look like for us, but hopefully in the next newsletter we'll be able to bring you some firm (and positive!) news. Until then, we hope that you're staying safe, and if there's anything you need from us don't be afraid to reach out.

Best wishes

The intoBodmin team

CAFE UPDATE: CRIB TIME TAKEAWAY | Fridays, 11am - 1pm
In order to continue supporting our community, we're opening The Old Library Cafe for takeaway food and drink each Friday. Crib Time is 'Pay What You Feel' on all items on the menu, including wholesome hot meals such as soup and homemade bread, plus cakes and hot drinks. Everyone is welcome, but please help keep Lisa and her brilliant cafe volunteers safe by wearing a mask and ordering from The Old Library's garden entrance.

DIGITAL FRIENDS | New Year, new opportunity to volunteer
Can you offer an hour a month to come and help people use an iPad? We have teamed up with Barclays and Healthwave to offer two iPads for people to borrow and use in our cafe. We need a small group of 'Digital Friends' to do a little online training and then be on hand post-lockdown to support anyone who needs help using the iPads. The training will be online and we'll provide you with free tea and cake while you're in the cafe helping! All Covid safety guidelines will be adhered to.

THE FARE EXCHANGE BODMIN
The Fare Exchange Bodmin are here to help if you need a little support during these difficult times. Send them a message with your name, address, how many in your household and any allergies, and they are able to set up weekly deliveries of food support. They are discrete and non-judgemental, so please reach out if you need some support.

IT'S GRIMM!
Did you miss it the first time around? With news of another national lockdown, Ha-Hum-Ah Theatre have announced that you can catch up online with all episodes of It's Grimm!, their musical mash up of some of the most well known fairy tales from the Grimm Brothers.
Supported by FEAST Cornwall and intoBodmin.

2021 EVENTS
We have a lot of great events in the pipeline, but are still working out what will and won't be viable for the coming months. We'll keep you updated!
We'd also like to remind you that tickets for any of our events are fully refundable if we have to cancel or postpone due to Covid. If you have any questions please feel free to EmailUs@intobodmin.co.uk

KERSEN KERNOW PUBLIC ART COMMISSION
This is a call for artists interested in applying for a visual public art commission being offered by Cornwall Council for Kresen Kernow, the new archive centre in Redruth. Funded by Arts Council England, the artwork will be inspired by the theme My Cornwall: My Home and will commemorate the temporary return to Cornwall in 2021 of several historic Cornish manuscripts, including the Ordinalia. They are looking for a high-quality artwork which will intrigue, surprise, challenge and delight and which will draw people to Kresen Kernow and Redruth.

Donate to intoBodmin and The Old Library
Give us the gift of a bright future. Donate the price of a ticket - or any amount you like - by Paypal, cheque or bank transfer or drop us a line for more information. Every donation is appreciated and will allow us to carry on doing fantastic things for our community.
