Sunday Service
Finding Peace-Experiencing God's Shalom in Everyday Circumstances

The peace of God--what is it?  The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom.  It means ‘completeness,’ ‘soundness,’ and ‘well-being.’ It is the ability to experience well-being spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and relation ally.  This is a deep peace that affects all aspects of our lives.

We're excited about our three-week series, "Finding Peace--Experiencing God's Shalom in Everyday Experiences."  This Sunday's sermon is "The Peace of God."  Join us online on Sunday mornings at 11 AM.

Our kids also have an online Sunday service of their own at 10 AM on Facebook and YouTube.

Please go to https://vvinfo.org/fb and www.vvinfo.org/YouTube.

Our Daily Devotionals
Digging the Bible--Finding Buried Treasure

Join us on Facebook and YouTube for our daily devotionals, Monday through Friday, at 9 AM.  You can tune in then or find it later in the day, week, or previous weeks.  Heretofore, our devotionals and our weekly sermon have had the same theme, but we've decided to go deeper and take a new approach with our current devotional series, "Digging the Bible--Finding Buried Treasure," for a 9-week series that covers these topics:

  • Sep 28-Oct 2, Legal/Promissory Scripture:  The Covenants
  • Oct 5-9, Wisdom Literature:  Wisdom Writings
  • Oct 12-16, Kingdom Parables:  The Counter-Intuitive Parables
  • Oct 19-23, Lesser Known Old Testament Histories of the Kings
  • Oct 26-30, Devotional Poetry:  the poems of Israel
  • Nov 2-6, The Epistles:  Teachings for the Christian Life
  • Nov 9-13, The Teachings of Jesus:  the Kingdom of God and the Role of Kingdom People
  • Nov 16-20, The Model of Jesus:  Modeling the Christian Life
  • Nov 23-27, Thankfulness:  Scriptures that Speak of Gratefulness and Personal Testimonies of Redemption

We hope that you can take advantage of hearing and meditating on the Word of God daily with this deeper look into the treasure that is the Bible.

Find the devotionals at https://vvinfo.org/fb and www.vvinfo.org/YouTube.

Sunday, November 15, 4 PM, via Zoom
Compassion Ministry Interest Meeting

By now you’ve all gotten the email letter about changes to our Manna food distribution ministry. The pandemic has impacted how we meet and serve, but one thing is certain. God is not done using us and challenging us to keep helping those in need. It is our turn as a group to figure out what God is doing and how we can join Him in continuing our never-ending call to feed the hungry. We invite those who are desiring to help pray and discern what is next to join me in a Compassion and Justice Ministry Discernment Meeting Sunday, November 15, at 4 PM. We will meet via Zoom. We want to take this opportunity to pray, dream, brainstorm, but more than anything, to listen to the heart of God so that we can align our lives and our plans to His will. For more details, email
info@valleyvineyard.org.

Family Drive In Movie, Featuring Ratatouille!

We had a wonderful time at our Harvest Drive In and invite you to join us for our free Family Thanksgiving Drive In, Saturday, November 21, 5:30 PM. Invite your family, neighbors, and friends to attend. We will be showing Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille. We will have prepackaged treats for you and there will be a taco truck for you to buy dinner to eat in your car during the movie. Come early to get a good parking spot. We also cannot serve our community without volunteers. Let us know if you can come and help. It is great to see families having fun in a season where things are hard, especially for families with young children.  Email us at info@valleyvineyard.org for details or to sign up to volunteer.

Blessing the Homeless for Thanksgiving

As winter approaches, there is nothing quite so comforting and luxurious as sitting at home under warm blankets…unless you’re homeless. We would like to blanket the homeless with warmth and the love of Jesus this Thanksgiving season. How can you help? Gather up new and gently used blankets and drop them off at the church office during office hours: Tuesday-Friday, 10 AM to 3 PM. You can also join us to help pass them out. Contact us for details at info@valleyvineyard.org.

Begins, Sunday, November 29, 11 AM
Advent Season Sunday Morning Services

We have exciting news… We are starting our outdoor Advent Season Sunday morning services at 11 AM.  Starting Sunday, November 29, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we will be meeting together.  That day is the start of the Advent season and we want to celebrate together.  Bring your own chair.  We will wear masks and seat socially distanced from each other.  You can also come on by and stay in your car.  We have a wireless transmitter that will send out the audio to the cars.  Community is important and we want to gather around the greatest story of all.  Jesus is the God who came near.  We will continue the online services, but we would also love to see you as well.

Live Phone Stream--A way for all "To Attend"

Join us from home to listen to our Sunday services through a mobile phone or home landline. Simply dial the toll free number 844-988-8814 at 11 AM on Sundays. (Please note new time.) You can also call in advance and press 1 to get a call when the Sunday service goes live. If you miss the service at the time when it is live, you will still be able to listen to the service by dialing the number anytime during the week. Pass this news on to those you know who may need this service.

Zoom Virtual Connect Groups
There's a Zoom group for you!  Check out our many weekly Zoom Connect Groups throughout the week. We want to encourage you to go against the natural tendency to withdraw during a crisis.  We need each other.  You will see life when you seek to connect with God and His Body. And there's something about seeing each other's smiling faces--no masks needed! Go to vvinfo.org/vgroups to see the different groups available.

VV Helping Hand Fund
We’ve setup a Helping Hand Fund to help those in our church community that are struggling through this pandemic and to help fund our outreach of extending the love of God to our neighbors.  If you feel led to contribute to this new fund, please do so above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings.  In Zelle, by text, on our app, or on our website, you can add a note for this ministry.  If you're writing a check, you can write Helping Hand Fund or Drive-Through Pantry in the memo.
