4-H Mock Legislature
Mock Legislature is an opportunity for 9th - 12th grade youth across Utah to experience the role of Legislator. Utah 4-H youth get the rare opportunity to present and debate current bills on the House Floor of the Utah State Capitol. Youth practice the entire Legislative Process by studying bills prior to the event, presenting the bill, presenting the bill in committee, and passing or rejecting the bill on the House Floor. Fun and Inspiring Ideas? 

The Utah 4-H Volunteer Retreat (formerly known as Leadermete) is in Weber County this year on March 28, 2020. This is a one day, jam-packed training for youth and adults featuring quality workshops, working group updates (including a new schedule and format for statewide events), a performance by the 4-H Notables, and a captivating keynote from USU Extension's Dr. Dave Schramm! Be Bold and Learn the Art of Public Speaking

This will be a 2 day leadership conference, April 24-25, open to 4-H members age 11-18 from the entire state.  There will be great workshops  related to Be Bold and Be Brave as well as the state public speaking competitions which include:

Tips for the New 4-H Portfolios

The 4-H Portfolio, consisting of a resume and cover letter, is the standard application tool for all 4-H leadership positions. It also serves as a valuable resource as you seek employment, and gathers the information you will need to apply for 4-H scholarships. Click here for tips on writing the 4-H Resume and Cover Letter.

Junior Youth Conference - a great service opportunity for teens
