Snow Shoeing Basics 🥶

Join a fun group of women as we venture to Beaver County to learn the basics of snowshoeing in a positive and empowering environment. Our guides will provide general winter activity tips and basic avalanche safety information. All adult women (must be at least 18 years old) who are interested in learning about snowshoeing are invited. No experience is necessary.

4-H Information

4-H Indoor Rock Climbing and Bouldering Club

USU Extension is partnering with Contact Climbing Gym to host a 4-H Rock Climbing and Bouldering Club for youth ages 11-16. Participants will receive instruction on proper gear, safety, and basic climbing and bouldering skills. The club will meet 3:30pm-5:00pm.
Who can participate: Youth ages 11-16
When: Begins January 20

4-H Entrepreneur Club

The 4-H Entrepreneur program teaches youth how to start their own business to sell products or services. Youth who attend the 4-H Entrepreneur trainings can host a booth for their business at a local venue, where they will sell their products/services directly to the public. Youth participants will learn-by-doing in this program –they create real businesses, and can make real sales! Each participant will receive a T-shirt with their business logo and up to $100 toward business expenses.

When: Tuesdays starting January 24th from 4:30-5:20 pm

Location: Utah Tech K-12 STEM Outreach Center, Atwood Innovation Plaza West Entrance, 453 S 600 E, St. George, UT 84770

Price: $80
Course Requirements: Parent/Guardian must commit to picking up their student on time. Attend the Showcase event on March 29, 2023, at 6:00 pm.

Washington County 4-H youth donates Play-Doh to hospitalized youth

Intermountain Cancer Center in St. George received a payload of Play-Doh from 4-H member, Ana Carnavale for the recent holidays. The toys will be distributed as stress relievers to several departments in the hospital where children are treated. Way to go Ana! 🍀

Utah 4-H Southern Region Teen Retreat

It is time again for the annual Utah 4-H Southern Region Teen Retreat. This is a wonderful event for teens as they learn from their peers and interact with others from the southern part of the state.
When: March 10-11, 2023
Where: Ruby’s Inn/Bryce Canyon
Who: 8^th-12^th
Registration is open on 4h.zsuite.org until February 10^th. Region Ambassadors and leaders will need to register also.
