Come to Teen Council

Are you a teen or do you know a teen looking for fun, food, and leadership building activities? Do you want to practice your teamwork and problem solving skills? Join us for Teen Council on Monday, February 10, 2020. Click here to register (so we can plan for enough food!)
LOVE to dance?
(or just want to learn?)
We have two fabulous events for 4-H teens to practice their dance moves.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn to dance - Country Swing style. The best part about it is it's FREE! Dance instruction, pizza, and a dance where you can practice your new moves. You'll also meet kids from other counties at this fun event sponsored by Sevier County 4-H. (click on the picture to enlarge it)
This is not just another 4-H dance - it's the 4-H PROM hosted by the Utah 4-H State Ambassadors! For details and to purchase tickets, please click here.  Ticket sales close February 17, 2020.

LOVE an opportunity
to develop leadership skills?

The Utah 4-H Southern Region Teen Retreat is for 8th-12th graders. Join teens from various Utah counties for a fun-filled leadership retreat. Participate in engaging workshops, play exciting group games, and make lots of new friends! We will provide transportation to this retreat; all you need to do is register at ut.4honline.com before February 13.

LOVE to learn about
livestock and showmanship?

Learn some of the tips and tricks to showing livestock at the Dixie Junior Livestock Show. This clinic is a great opportunity for both first time and experienced showmen to learn and improve their showmanship skills. Click on the animals below for more information and to register.

Volunteers, do you LOVE to learn
new ideas for 4-H clubs and activities?

The Utah 4-H Volunteer Retreat (formerly known as Leadermete) is in Weber County this year on March 28, 2020. This is a one day, jam-packed training for youth and adults featuring quality workshops, working group updates (including a new schedule and format for statewide events), a performance by the 4-H Notables, and a captivating keynote from USU Extension's Dr. Dave Schramm! Youth, do you LOVE to learn
public speaking skills?

This will be a 2 day leadership conference, April 24-25, open to 4-H members age 11-18 from the entire state.  There will be great workshops  related to Be Bold and Be Brave as well as the state public speaking competitions which include:

Teens, would you LOVE an opportunity for service and leadership?

Click here for details and information about being a teen leader at Junior Youth Conference (JYC). JYC is a 3 day camp for 5th and 6th grade youth to participate in fun workshops, the annual Snow Follies, and great learning experiences at Snow College. 

LOVE to hear exciting news?

We just had a great FIRST Lego League State Championship where 6/10 awards went to 4-H robotics clubs and the 4-H Fantastic Dragons (Club Leader: Amy Hummel) won the Champions Award! Other awards include:
  • Inspiration Award: 4-H Incredibots. Club Leader: Lisa Henderson
  • Robot Mechanical Design Award: 4-H IceBots. Club Leader: Richard Isom
  • Robot - Programming Award : Super Bot Brothers. Club Leader: Lisa Henderson
  • Project Innovative Solution Award: Team NASA. Club Leader: Misty Nicol
  • Project Presentation Award: UnbeLEGObles. Club Leader: Katie Hill
  • Gracious Professionalism Award: Emoji-Coders from Emery County
