Looking Forward, Looking Back, Connie
Who knew that watching the Inauguration and the restoration of basic operations of our government would make us feel such a mixture of emotions. The years of broken norms within our government and the horrors of the pandemics of both racism and COVID-19 have made many of us long for a better and kinder world.  A world we have never seen.

To create lasting change that liberates everyone and is beneficial to us all, Americans need to be able to have difficult conversations. We must not tolerate behaviors, ideologies and parts of the system which work against liberation. Our liberation depends on the liberation of all.

From the UUA President: We Remain Committed to Public Health and Safety

And yet, we really are in a time of transition. The New Year is still just beginning and a new administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has been sworn into office. image - uua ga 2021 logoUUA Virtual General Assembly 2021
June 23-27
General Assembly is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists, where we conduct business of the Association, explore the theological underpinnings of our faith, and lean fully into our mission and principles. That remains true even when we cannot gather physically. Last year, GA had more than 4,900 registered attendees participate from remote locations around the world. Although we give up the face-to-face interaction and hugs that are prevalent when we meet in-person, we retain our dedication to community and make our experience more accessible and more environmentally sustainable.
Register Soon!
If you haven't registered for Virtual GA 2021 already, there is no better time to register than right now! Registered attendees are among the first to hear program announcements, including featured speakers and the Ware Lecturer and only registered attendees will have access to the new GA app (coming soon!) So, register early to join online discussions, familiarize yourself with the GA schedule, and find your place in our community of communities. Register now!
New this year – General Assembly Merch Boxes
The GA Merch Box will contain a collection merchandise which is sure to delight and inspire when it arrives just in time for GA. You can purchase your Merch Box when you register for GA.
Join the Conflict and Covenant Team
The Conflict & Covenant Team, a successor to the Right Relationship team, is recruiting volunteers! This team is charged with supporting and mediating with GA attendees who are in conflict and/or whose actions violate the covenant during GA. This volunteer team will carry out the charge by rotating on-call shifts to monitor incoming tickets, track patterns of conflicts and covenant violations, and facilitate conversation with attendees who need support. Anyone committed to healthy conflict resolution grounded in UU values, which includes applying an anti-racist, anti-oppressive lens to the work, is encouraged to apply.
