Correction to Last Friday's E-News

In last Friday's e-news, we suggested you visit Kanangra-Boyd National Park when you are in the region of Jenolan.

But unfortunately, the Kanangra-Boyd National Park is currently closed, due to the impacts of recent fires.

We apologise for our mistake.

To stay up to date on National Parks & Wildlife Service closures, make sure you check the alerts on https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/alerts before you plan your trip, as situations can change frequently.

Here are some suggestions for other great National Parks sites you can visit:

Where Can You Experience the Largest Natural Arch in the Southern Hemisphere?

Abercrombie Caves is situated about 1 hour's drive south-west of Bathurst. Abercrombie Caves boasts the largest natural arch in the southern hemisphere - believe it or not! It is quite a bit bigger than Jenolan's Grand Arch! The massive arch has a creek running through it - really beautiful! Abercrombie Caves also a number of other grand, richly decorated caves, and a thrilling history involving notorious bushrangers. Take the kids on a cave tour and go on a magical underground journey.

One of the special things about Abercrombie Caves is that it is so far off the tourist trail, that you can thoroughly enjoy the peace and quiet of the caves and the surrounding bushland. There is a campground and cabins, and make sure you take food.
