Welcome Back - June 5 - Our Hotel and Restaurant Reopen
On June 5, we will reopen our hotel, Chisolm’s Restaurant and Caves Café. Although our caves will remain closed for a little while longer, we look forward to welcoming back our overnight guests.
Health and safety - our priority - Our priority is always the safety of our guests, staff and other visitors. Working with the advice provided by NSW Health and the State and Commonwealth Governments, we will be re-opening in a controlled and responsible way. For now, this means Jenolan Caves will only be open for above-ground activities, meals or overnight stays that have been pre-booked.
We also ask that if within the last 14 days you have experienced any flu-like symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath, or if you have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 that you please delay your visit.
Across our precinct, we are implementing measures to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, including providing hand sanitizing stations as well as for food preparation and cleaning.
Please book ahead - To facilitate social distancing, we are limiting the number of people at Jenolan Caves. Please book ahead, either online or by phone on 1300 76 33 11.
Plenty to Do - Although we have not yet restarted our cave tours, overnight guests can look forward to a tranquil escape in historic surroundings, with delicious food and wine, fresh mountain air on invigorating scenic bush trails. See how our region is reawakening after the bushfire. See how floodwater has resculpted our Blue Lake - the power of nature! Lyre birds, platypus and wallabies are often seen in the wild at Jenolan, in the early morning or at dusk. For this special time, we are putting together some tempting new hospitality packages. If you want to roam our bushland and then use Jenolan as a base from which to explore our region, we are only a half hour drive from the small shops and cafes of Oberon, then another 10 minutes to the amazing Mayfield Gardens.
As always, before your trip please remember to check that the roads are open. Please also note that at this time we are not accepting cash on site.
Gift Vouchers - Lastly, although our cave tours are not yet running, you can purchase gift vouchers and keep them for a later date. They are valid for three years.
