Hello St. Peter's!
Just a quick reminder that Rev. Joshua Nelson will begin his service at St. Peter's this week! Please come welcome him to our church, and community.
Also, don't forget that services will now begin at 9:30 a.m., a necessary change so we can share Rev. Nelson with Grace in Pomeroy.
Below is a short bio of Rev. Nelson.
The Rev. Joshua Nelson is a life-long Ohioan. Born in Portsmouth, he and is his family have lived all over the state. He currently resides in Circleville, Ohio where he helps to care for his toddler nephew, Lucas. He is a 2017 graduate of The School of Theology at Sewanee: The University of the South and previously earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. He spent four years prior to seminary as a high school music teacher and most recently served as Priest-in-Charge with St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Elkhart, Indiana.

Fr. Joshua is a Benedictine Confrator of St. Gregory's Abbey in Three Rivers, Michigan. He has spent his entire life practicing the art of music and devoting his time to the ministries of the Church. He enjoys singing, playing the piano, cooking, fishing, knitting, boating, hiking, and gardening. He is an avid sports fan and likes to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Marching Band (TBDBITL), German Bündeslega Soccer, and Notre Dame Football.

Fr. Joshua currently offers three online ministries and invites all to join him. "Story Time with Fr. Joshua" is a weekly YouTube and Facebook series of five-minute lessons from the weekly lectionary for children of all ages. "Between2Priests" is a bi-monthly YouTube series with Pastor Terri Peterson exploring all the questions you could have about church and life. And the newly released podcast "The BCP and Me" with Fr. Tyler Richards in which the pair explore the practical applications of the Book of Common Prayer to our everyday life. He is very excited about returning home to Southern Ohio and entering into ministry with the good people of Gallipolis and Pomeroy.

In Christ,

The Rev. Joshua Nelson
