COVID-19 and Respiratory Illness Protocols

Ontario Health has recently updated the guidelines for COVID-19 and respiratory illnesses. As we move into the cold and flu season we thank you for your understanding with our ongoing protocols to keep the vulnerable population we serve safe.

SLEC will continue to screen clients and require that all staff, clients, students and volunteers complete a Rapid Antigen Test and show proof of a negative result before entering the Centre.

If staff, clients, students or volunteers have any new or worsening symptoms (listed below) or have received a positive COVID result they cannot return to the program for 10 days, regardless of COVID-19 test result.

If staff, clients, students or volunteers live with anyone who has experienced these symptoms or have received a positive COVID result in the last 10 days, they cannot return to the program for 10 days from their last exposure, regardless of their own COVID-19 test result.
