Greetings from The Haid Theatre!

We hope this message finds you healthy and well during this time of COVID-19. Our wonderful community of theatre lovers is very much missed, and we'd love to hear from you. Let us know how you're doing by emailing us at AbbeyPlayers@bac.edu, or by commenting on one of our most recent Facebook posts HERE.

Previously announced on social media and our website, The Abbey Players' production of Fahrenheit 451 is cancelled for the slated April run. We hope to be able to bring it to you in the 2020-21 season. Read the full announcement HERE. Please keep us all in your prayers, as you continue to be in ours.

For Season Members and Fahrenheit 451 single ticket holders:

As mentioned in the full announcement, we are currently putting logistics in place to provide you with the best possible process. Please be aware that our entire staff is presently working from home, remotely, teaching college courses, doing behind-the-scenes administrative work, caring for families, and taking necessary precautions and preparations to "stay at home" per the instructions from our state authorities. Though we are all working hard to succeed in this "new normal," we also look forward to helping you with options that may include ticket refunds, ticket exchange, and ticket donation.

For many reasons the industry standard is “no refunds or exchanges." However, this public health crisis is an unprecedented event in our modern history, and we want to make sure you have what you need to be comfortable and secure during these unsettling times. Following this email, you will receive another email with specific options about your tickets for Fahrenheit 451. Please respond to that email and let us know your preferences.

Support The Abbey Players!

If you haven't already, please consider remembering The Abbey Players in your charitable giving. With the cancellation of Fahrenheit 451, we will experience a loss of nearly $4,000 in single ticket income. While we have been gearing up to launch more robust fundraising efforts, the loss of that anticipated income makes our needs even greater.

As you know, ticket sales do not cover the costs of bringing such high-quality, joyful, thought-provoking, and meaningful experiences to you. Our ticket prices are intentionally low, so that as many  in our community as possible can enjoy and benefit from the good work we offer.

We know that resources may be limited at present and acknowledge the struggles of many in our community. If you are able, we would certainly appreciate your support. All gifts - of all sizes - are needed and welcome. We would also encourage you to support our local social service organizations, if possible.
