Dear friends and colleagues,

This month we released our 2021 Annual Report, giving us opportunity to reflect on the resilience and compassion that everyone has shown during one of the toughest period of our lifetimes.

This year, we have been able to provide support to Gypsy and Traveller people on over 3500 issues ranging from health to homelessness, education to financial inclusion and discrimination to employment.

We have been overwhelmed by the solidarity and support which we received this past year. I cannot thank our funders, trustees, staff members, volunteer team, partners and supporters enough for making our work possible.

As the Policing Bill returns to Parliament for the last of its readings, it is more important than ever that we stand united. Criminalising trespass may effectively render the travelling way of life impossible, but we know that this will not happen without a fight from FFT, Gypsy and Traveller people and their allies.

Warmest wishes,
Sarah Mann

Update from our casework:

"Earlier this week I spoke to a client who wanted to register with an NHS dentist in Brighton & Hove. It took me a day to call over 35 surgeries, but I finally found one which would take the client's details. They contacted me with an update and shared that the whole family are now registered and the client has an appointment in December. I'm really happy that they got registered in the end."
