The Children's Garden before Boy Scout Dylan Palenik (Troop 467) volunteered.

The Children's garden ready for planting. Dylan recruited volunteers to help with labor and paid for all the improvements.

Dylan is a Junior at the Atlanta International School. He's involved with his community and volunteers through his school and Boy Scouts. He's been a Scout since 1st grade as a Cub Scout and will soon become an Eagle Scout. He chose this project to help make the community a better place for others and provide opportunities for young people to get involved and learn something new. He said he couldn't have completed the project without the support of parents Kim and Dirk Palenik and younger brother Zander (also a Boy Scout). Fellow students also helped with parts of the project.

Volunteers Will be Working Saturday
Boy Scouts from Troop 232 will be removing Nandina throughout the park from 9am-noon Saturday December 14. The berries can be toxic to birds. We'll plant native shrubs in the Spring to provide food and shelter for birds.
