PCWA recently partnered with students from Del Oro High School in Loomis to produce a special video promoting the need to find and fix household leaks for Fix a Leak Week 2019.

Fix a Leak Week, which takes place March 18–24, is an annual awareness event organized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense program to promote finding and fixing leaks. The average household loses over 10,000 gallons of water in leaks every year—enough water to wash 270 loads of laundry. Common sources of leaks include worn toilet flappers, dripping faucets and other leaking valves. All of these are easy to fix.

Dozens of students from Del Oro High School’s video production and broadcasting class participated in the video shoot which features Del Oro’s Golden Eagle vs. Les Leaky in a race to chase down leaks. Watch the video below and learn tips for chasing down leaks at home on PCWA’s website.
A special thank you to teacher Jeremy Jeffreys and the students of Del Oro High School for partnering with PCWA to promote this important message!
