This Sunday we will finish our series in Colossians. It has been great to see us all growing as a Church together. Do you make use of the questions we provide to ask each other after church? How can we do this better? In December we will have a short series on the book of Ruth. Can I encourage you to read this as a family, it’s only 4 chapters and great narrative. Below you will see the questions we will ask each week so if you forget what it said on the screen when you get home you can still ask.

Christmas Parade
We will again be putting a float in the Smithton Christmas Parade on Friday 14th December. We would love all our kids who are available to participate. All children will need at least 1 of their parents on the float with them (don’t worry, you will get to dress up too!) We plan on using the Powell’s Ute and car trailer, with the words ‘Jesus is the greatest gift’ on the sides. So it would be great if you can all dress up as either a nativity character (Mary, Joseph, Shepherd, Sheep, Angel, Wiseman etc.) or a present (a box wrapped in wrapping paper). We have some costumes so if you don’t yet have anything please chat to me! We need 1 Mary & Joseph so let me know if you or your kids are keen.

Gifts & thanksgiving
On Sunday December 16 we’ll be giving all our children a little Christmas present and praying and thanking God for them.

Christmas service
On Sunday December 23 at 11am we’ll be having our family Christmas service. Kids Church will be running the service. Our senior group will be doing a Christmas Rap for the all age talk, our younger group will be singing ‘Jesus Saves’, by Colin Buchanan. We would also love some of our kids to lead us in singing carols. After the service we’ll be having a BBQ lunch, with some backyard cricket down on the GLO grass (behind the hall). Start thinking about who you can invite and let’s begin praying for them.

Holiday program
After Christmas, to give our leaders a bit of a break, and as we’re likely to have a few less kids each week, we will be running a holiday program. Each week there will be a Christian video and several games and activities for kids to choose from.

Thank you for such a great year in Kids Church. We continue to pray that God will do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, particularly as we look at reaching out to those who don’t yet know Him with our Kids Club starting in 2019 (God willing).

Thinking about how you can make Christ the focus of Christmas?
