Disciples Are…
Over these next two months leading into Easter we are going to be getting back into Luke’s Gospel and be hearing all about what the life of following Jesus looks like. Through Luke 7-11 we will hear Jesus continually challenge us on what it ought to look like for us to live as his followers.
Friends I am really looking forward to hearing God to speak to us over these next few months and to challenge us to live out our calling as followers of his Son. If we want to see our church grow, if more importantly we want to see God’s kingdom grow here in Circular Head, then we need to be asking God to help us be convicted and changed. Changed to obey Jesus and live as his disciples, boldly declaring his gospel here in our district.
Bishop visit March 26-29.
Something you will be hearing more about in the coming weeks is that Bishop Richard will be visiting us during the end of March. For those who have been around for long enough for previous visits from a Bishop, this will be a little bit different. Instead of it all being about one big special Sunday church service, it looks like it is going to be a four day visit, where Richard will be partnering with us in our mission to be a church for Circular Head, making disciples of Jesus. So, stay tuned for more details for some of the events we will be running with him to try and reach Circular Head with the wonderful news of Jesus.
In preparation for this visit, we need to be praying and asking God that he would be open up doors and grant us the boldness to share the good news with our friends and neighbours and to use this time with Richard for His glory and the growth of His kingdom.
Lego Club is back on starting this Friday 14th February from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. If you know of any primary school aged children, then it would be great to invite them to join us at this safe and fun place that will be meeting each week during the school term. Last year we got off to a great start, we had over 50 different kids come along and we were able to make some great connections with different folk from our community in Circular Head.
This term thanks to the generosity of Circular Head Council who have given us a grant, we are going to have heaps of brand new LEGO to play with too!
Please be praying that we will see more children come along and that we will love them and their families and that God may use these connections to help many more folk in our area come to know the Lord Jesus.
