10/29 - Why you need a Business plan NOW!

Building a Successful Business Plan

The University of Oregon Department of Economics study proves business planning has a positive business impact on companies that do it!  The study shows that businesses that complete business planning are 50% more likely than those without a business plan to 1) Grow their business, 2) Secure a loan, and 3) Acquire investment capital. Join Dino Eliadas with a great assessment for whether you need to do a successful business plan or not.  Your business plan should help you achieve business self-sustainability not hinder it!

A great assessment for whether you need to do a successful business plan or not is to quickly review the questions posed below.  See if you can thoroughly answer all the questions.

  1. What need does your business fulfill?
  2. How does your offering fulfill this need?
  3. How is your business unique from others that fulfill this need?
  4. Who are the key stakeholders in your business?
  5. How big is your market?
  6. Who makes up your target market?
  7. What is the best way to communicate with each of these different parts of your market?
  8. Describe all the different ways that you will make money from this market?
  9. How much money will it take to get started and keep your business going?
  10. Outline exactly what you need to do to breakeven every month?

What are SPARK Tanks!?

For entrepreneurs and small business owners, the Dunedin Entrepreneurs' Spark Tank is a great opportunity to 'brain bounce' new ideas, make vital connections, and meet up with like-minded entrepreneurs,  Free and open to the public, join us to... Innovate, Implement and Intensify Your Business!

We have presenters who cover topics vital to small business owners. These are interactive mini-workshops where you be able to apply the concepts, skills, and ideas to your situation with plenty of time for questions.

Much more than networking, at our Challenges Round participants…

  • Share what their business is
  • Share whatever challenges their business may be facing
  • Receive ideas, brainstorming, and options about your challenges from people who have been there
  • Offer their ideas and options to support others as you’ve been supported

After either Spark Tank form, there will be time to chat and swapped business cards with folks that you connected with for further support and discussion.

Come join us! You won’t be disappointed!

Sparks don't run on their own, it takes support from the community, time from our volunteer board, and out of pocket expenses to fuel our media and run this group. If it has served you well, provided you perspective, given you leads, or created a sense of collaborative community, then PLEASE consider donating.
