A Message From the Director
None of us could have imagined the devastation that ripped through our communities recently as wildfires destroyed homes, businesses, and land. Our hearts go out to each of you who have lost your home or been displaced because of the Almeda and South Obenchain fires.
Several of you have reached out to the library and asked what you should do about library materials lost in the fires. We are touched that in such times you still think of the library and the materials you have borrowed. Please be assured that no one will be charged for any items lost in a fire. Contact us and let us know which items you have lost, and those items will be removed from your account.
The staff at Jackson County Library Services welcomes the opportunity to help meet the unique needs of those affected by the fires and support our communities. Our computers and printers are available for use, and staff are ready to assist on your road to recovery. See our Wildfire Response and Recovery Guide and the schedule of open libraries and their hours.
