At a special Board meeting on April 23, the Jackson County Library District Board of Directors approved a staged plan for reopening library services for JCLS. The plan includes deliberate steps that staff will take to gradually introduce more services to our communities. We are pleased to be able to move to the next stage in our plan, which enables us to provide computer services by appointment at our Medford, Ashland, Eagle Point, and Rogue River branches. Learn how to schedule a reservation to use a computer below.
During this phase, we will continue to provide front door service hours at all branches so you can pick up items on hold. We also offer engaging virtual programs and expanded digital content you can stream, download, and borrow from home.
Staff is working hard to put the proper safety measures in place to continue toward the next stage in our plan, including re-configuring public spaces, adding self-service stations, and preparing to welcome our patrons back into our buildings in a way that is safe for everyone.
I want to thank everyone, staff and public, for your ongoing patience and support as we continue to provide library services in innovative ways in response to COVID-19. We are working diligently to return to more regular services while keeping your health and safety at the forefront. Our target is to reopen our buildings for limited services as early as June 8, if response to Phase 1 in Jackson County goes well.
Sincerely,
Kari May, Library Director

Schedule a Computer Use Appointment
|
|
JCLS is now scheduling reservations for independent, single-person computer access. Appointments are limited to 45 minutes and include 10 free printed pages. For safety reasons, there is no technology assistance available from library staff during these sessions. Computers are spaced for social distancing, and all surfaces will be disinfected by staff after each use. Staff are wearing masks, and we encourage patrons to do so as well. If you are ill on the day of your appointment, please cancel and wait to reschedule when you have recovered.
Call 541-494-3280 for an appointment (limit 1 appointment per person, per week).
