UK CREATIVE INNOVATION @ SXSW

Audience of the Future Live @ SXSW will showcase some of the UK's most cutting-edge creative R&D projects (funded by UKRI) in a series of workshops

Lost Origin

A unique live immersive adventure fusing technology and performance, in which audiences work as undercover investigators to crack a mystery. Hear Almeida Theatre and Factory 42 tell a story of collaboration and creation in this cross-discipline production.

A Brighter Future

Merging VR filmmaking, 3D photogrammetry and animation to bring sustainability to the Metaverse. Join Surround Vision to hear all about their VR production methodology and Metaverse distribution vision for global impact and engagement.

Framerate

Observe change on a spatial and temporal scale unknown to the human eye or traditional cameras. ScanLAB introduce Framerate, their immersive artwork series, and share the tools, research, and methods they used to created them.

Dream

The Royal Shakespeare Company reveal the technical processes and tools used to create Dream, an  immersive interpretation of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, that pioneered a new digital stage for performance.

Big Fix Up

An interactive storytelling experience using the latest in augmented and mixed reality. Creators Potato, Sugar Creative and Tiny Rebel Games take a deep dive into the origins, creation and delivery of this unique Wallace & Gromit experience, produced with Aardman.

INTERCHANGE

A next-generation Metaverse experience developed with Warner Bros. Interchange takes audiences through a physical portal into a virtual world. Prox & Reverie reveal how the project developed and demonstrate the portal leap experience, unfolding an adventure.

Steppenwolf

Charisma partnered with Warner Media to take the multi-million dollar CG model for The Justice League’s Steppenwolf character, and repurpose it into a real-time, 5G powered immersive experience. Discover more about the project and the latest AI developments.

StoryTrails

Led by StoryFutures Academy, StoryTrails brings untold stories to life using Augmented and Virtual Reality, to reanimate public spaces in towns and cities across the UK. Chosen as one of ten projects to feature in this year's UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK festival.
