Getting Involved

You may be looking for opportunities to get involved in – maybe through volunteering or supporting local charities. But there is so much out there! This session is to help you navigate opportunities that will fit with the skills and time you have available to give.

Bloomsbury Festival

Our very own Giulia is helping out with the historical and cultural walks of the annual Bloomsbury Festival and wanted to share this exciting event! The festival is all about bringing together the different communities of Bloomsbury by exploring the arts, science and culture taking place in the local area. Most events are taking virtually with some in-person events taking place in line with government guidelines. Check out the programme and book your places!

ILSC Book Club

Real Life by Brandon Taylor is what we're reading this month. Described as a campus novel and a coming-of-age novel, the partly autobiographical book tells of the experiences of a gay, Black doctoral student in a predominantly White, Midwestern PhD program. We'll come together (online!) on 3 Nov to share our thoughts!

What next?!

As we hold our final October event this evening (see above!) we want to hear from you what you think we should do next? More games nights, more discussion groups? Or maybe you have a new idea to share? We'd love to hear from you!
