Study/Work Space

We want to make sure the ILSC continues to serve its community - one way would be through offering study/work space in the basement of the old ILSC. We'd love to hear from you, so please share your thoughts through the short survey below.

Month of April

ILSC Book Club

April's book is Blindness by José Saramago. A driver goes blind. An opthamologist tries to diagnose his distinctive blindness, but is affected before he can read the textbooks. It becomes a contagion, spreading throughout the city. Trying to stem the epidemic, the authorities herd the afflicted into a mental asylum where the wards are terrorised by blind thugs. Whether you've read a little or a lot, we all have something to share. Maybe a bit too 'on the nose' for our time? Or maybe an deeper insight...
Join us on 7 May to discuss your thoughts! Whether you've read a little or a lot, we all have something to share. Upcoming reads:
May: West with the Night by Beryl Markham

London

Get out and get cultured!

With signs that the sun is coming out and weather warming up this weekend why not check out these outdoor opportunities (and now you can invite your 5 closest friends!)
Walk The Line between The O2 and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to see sculptures from leading artists among the docks and waterways of east London. The capital’s biggest sculpture trail leads walkers along three miles of waterways, including the Royal Docks and the River Lea, as well as soaring over the Thames on the Emirates Air Line.
The Line
While most galleries remain closed, there is plenty of art on London’s streets to lift the spirits and get us thinking. Wander Art is London’s largest outdoor gallery, spanning the streets of Mayfair and Belgravia and which has works from the likes of Yinka Ilori and Margaux Carpentier. Spend an afternoon following the trail to discover each artwork; it’ll make a nice change from all the recent park walks.

Feeling a bit ...?

Many of us are feeling a bit weary and fed-up at the moment and may just need some space to talk. If you're feeling a bit down or anxious or sad or on edge or a bit lost in the midst of everything going on around you - remember that the chaplain is here to provide support for you. Feel free to get in touch over the phone or email if you'd like to schedule a time to talk.
