June Issue #34.4

The Thanet St Planet

What's happening at the ILSC and around London

Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.

ILSC Staff

While most of the ILSC staff have already, sadly, left the ILSC, next Tuesday will be the last day of our beloved remaining ILSC staff present at the accommodation hall. Please join me in a big thank you to Miriam and Adela in keeping things going and supporting the residents still on-site (and thank you to the residents for throwing and excellent 'thank you' tea!).

Meeting 7 July 1pm

ILSC Book Club

This month we're reading The Incredible Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera which 'tells the story of a young woman in love with a man torn between his love for her and his incorrigible womanizing and one of his mistresses and her humbly faithful lover. This magnificent novel juxtaposes geographically distant places, brilliant and playful reflections, and a variety of styles, to take its place as perhaps the major achievement of one of the world’s truly great writers.'
Zoom details will be included in next week's newsletter!

  1. Bring 10 cups water to boil. Add all the tea and steep 5 minutes.
