ILSC Book Club

April's book is Blindness by José Saramago. A driver goes blind. An opthamologist tries to diagnose his distinctive blindness, but is affected before he can read the textbooks. It becomes a contagion, spreading throughout the city. Trying to stem the epidemic, the authorities herd the afflicted into a mental asylum where the wards are terrorised by blind thugs. Whether you've read a little or a lot, we all have something to share. Maybe a bit too 'on the nose' for our time? Or maybe an deeper insight...
Join us on 7 May to discuss your thoughts! Whether you've read a little or a lot, we all have something to share. Upcoming reads:
May: West with the Night by Beryl Markham

Mental Health Awareness Week

The theme this year is 'Nature' so why not end next week by joining us for a lovely walk in the woods? Or if you're farther afield - take some time to reconnect with the nature around you!
Check out the MHF's top tips for connecting with nature or their guide for Thriving with Nature (made with the WWF) - which includes a section about Spring in London!

Study/Work Space

We want to make sure the ILSC continues to serve its community - one way would be through offering study/work space in the basement of the old ILSC. We'd love to hear from you, so please share your thoughts through the short survey below.

Feeling a bit ...?

Many of us are feeling a bit weary and fed-up at the moment and may just need some space to talk. If you're feeling a bit down or anxious or sad or on edge or a bit lost in the midst of everything going on around you - remember that the chaplain is here to provide support for you. Feel free to get in touch over the phone or email if you'd like to schedule a time to talk.
