Table Talks: Building Back with Justice

Table Talks is a time to come together to talk, laugh, and get to know one another's points of view. Meeting around our virtual tables (with or without our dinners), we begin to explore and engage in discussions about the big and not so big questions we all have - anything from ethics to daily life as a student. The hope is that as we get together discussions will deepen, relationships will be built and strengthened and that we'll have fun!

This Session’s Topic - Building Back with Justice: As we ‘re-build’ after COVID, how do we ensure we build a better society? One that addresses inequality and climate change, and where human flourishing is promoted.

ILSC Book Club

Real Life by Brandon Taylor is what we're reading this month. Described as a campus novel and a coming-of-age novel, the partly autobiographical book tells of the experiences of a gay, Black doctoral student in a predominantly White, Midwestern PhD program. We'll come together (online!) on 3 Nov to share our thoughts!

Please share the ILSC!

As you can see, we have a lots of new events for you to join in! But we also want to see this wonderful community of support and learning to grow. Please come along to one of our new online welcome events and please share the flyer below with anyone you think would be interested. Maybe you know some students about to come over to London - let them know about the ILSC! We're here to provide that sense of community and belonging we all love about the ILSC!
