ILSC Book Club

May's book is West with the Night a 1942 memoir by Beryl Markham, chronicling her experiences growing up in Kenya (then British East Africa) in the early 1900s, leading to celebrated careers as a racehorse trainer and bush pilot there.
Join us on 7 June to discuss your thoughts! Whether you've read a little or a lot, we all have something to share. Upcoming reads:

Cause for Pause

You are welcome to join this weekly space hosted by Pastor Sarah with Mansfield College, Oxford. This is a reflective online space to come together using words, music and silence across traditions. Nothing is expected of attendees - everyone is invited to come together and just 'be' in this shared space.

Afternoon Sunday 27 June

Walk in Happy Valley & Pub Dinner

We had a great walk last Sunday amongst the bluebells (and rain!) of Banstead Woods. We had so much fun we're going to do it again but this time in Happy Valley (yes, it is a real place - there's even photographic evidence above!). We'll go for a gentle stroll through Farthing Wood and Happy Valley followed by dinner at the local pub (on us)! If you are interested, please get in touch!

Feeling a bit ...?

Many of us are feeling a bit weary and fed-up at the moment and may just need some space to talk. If you're feeling a bit down or anxious or sad or on edge or a bit lost in the midst of everything going on around you - remember that the chaplain is here to provide support for you. Feel free to get in touch over the phone or email if you'd like to schedule a time to talk.
