Presidential Thoughts

How different Denver was back on March 22, 1940! Oh, so many changes have occurred since then. But one thing is the same...the present members of Sigma Alpha Iota living in the Denver area are just as eager today, as then, to make music with their sisters and to spread music in the community.

The 80th Anniversary Committee members have prepared special activities each month highlighting different aspects of SAI and Sisterhood. Come to make music, come for fun. Come to share and make Sisterhood memories. Anticipate the throwback to 1940s in October when ladies wore hats and gloves to Silver Teas! Prepare ‘Love SAI’ statements for the Time Capsule. Brush up on the popular tunes of the ‘40’s. Commit to furthering the ideals of Sigma Alpha Iota.

Members of your Executive Board are excited to CELEBRATE this special year with you. Be sure to have the SAI activities marked on your calendar.

The SAI Denver Alumnae 2nd Annual Summer Picnic was a huge success! Many sisters and their families gathered at Observatory Park on August 17th to share food, laughter, and good company.
Member Krista Aliga and husband Chet welcomed Arthur Gerald Aliga into the world on September 12, 2019.

Get ready to CELEBRATE 80 YEARS

It is time to CELEBRATE 80 years of the Denver Alumnae Chapter! On Saturday, September 21, at 12 noon there will be a kick-off meeting for the year-round chapter anniversary celebration, "Echoes of the Past! Celebrating our Future!" at Bethany Lutheran Church, Fellowship Hall, 4500 E Hampden Avenue, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113.

Come a few minutes early so that as close to noon as possible, we will be enjoying your favorite potluck dish (recipe of yesteryear or today!) that you brought to share. Not only delicious food, but SAI Singers will present a program "Sing the Songs of SAI". It is about the history of the SAI Songbooks and some of the songs. Yes, there will be a sing-along, so bring your SAI Songbook
