June Event Huge Success...What's Next?

Our second showcase event, held at UCLA’s Luskin Conference Center on June 20th, brought together over 300 attendees (36% investors!) who came to get a “first look” at 29 very early stage startups commercializing technology and discoveries born in SoCal’s premier research institutions. We got great feedback from attendees who consistently cited the highlight of the day was the keynote from Idealab founder and chairman, Bill Gross who shared his entrepreneurial journey and many of the important lessons he learned along the way. The venture capital panel also provided valuable insights for companies looking to raise investment funding. To catch Bill’s keynote and other clips from the event, visit our website.

We are currently planning our third event, to be held in early/mid November, focused on hot SoCal startups who are on their way to becoming a “unicorn” (company with $1 billion valuation). If you have suggestions for companies we should consider, please email Thanks!
